Swiss Cows "Moove" to Harwood, Dallas

Longhorns, Hereford and Angus cows are synonymous with Dallas, part of its heritage, part of its history. On Friday there will be a new breed in town, the Harwood Swiss Cow, which will be found grazing in Uptown's newest district. Harwood, Dallas. Standing, grazing and lying down, the 20 "Harwood branded" black cows will define the geography of the 17 city blocks that comprise Harwood, Dallas. These 17 blocks include high-rise offices, high-rise residences and green open spaces, most notably the Marie Gabrielle gardens, Harwood's hidden jewel.
The Harwood Swiss Cows will be warmly welcomed during a ceremony in the verdant Marie Gabrielle gardens at 11:00 AM, November 2, 2007, as part of the North Texas Commercial Association of Realtors (NTCAR) Office Tour.

Why Swiss cows you ask? Harwood International is the company behind Harwood the district, and Swiss-born developer Gabriel Barbier-Mueller is the man behind the company. Not surprisingly Harwood is also home to the Honorary Swiss Consulate. No prizes for guessing who is the consul!
